Negro $tack$
Born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and raised between the island and the Bronx, Negro $tack$ represents a new generation of Latino artists shaped by resilience, faith, and cultural identity.
A gifted student early in life, he advanced rapidly through school before relocating to New York City, where family responsibility forced him to leave formal education at sixteen to help support his household.
Music remained constant. Writing from a young age, Negro $tack$ developed his voice while deeply involved in his church community, where he began studying theology at eighteen, strengthening the storytelling, discipline, and emotional depth that now define his music.
His artistic development continued within New York’s Latin and hip-hop communities, where he refined a sound rooted in lived experience and cultural pride.
Through a personal introduction within his extended community, Negro $tack$ connected with veteran New York producer Luis “Phat Kat” Vega, beginning a creative collaboration that would prove pivotal in shaping his professional career.
Working alongside Vega and producer Paul “Pistachio” of Vega Brothers Productions, whose collective legacy includes collaborations with artists such as Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature, Gang Starr, Johnny Pacheco, and Grandmaster Flash, Negro $tack$ expanded his artistic reach and entered a new phase of professional recording and development.
This collaboration led to work alongside respected artists including Lakim Shabazz, Sa-Fire, Greg Nice, and vocalist David Sanchez.
Blending hip-hop foundations with Caribbean and Latin influences, Negro $tack$’s music reflects the experience of the Puerto Rican diaspora, bridging street realism, spirituality, and cultural pride.
His sound moves fluidly between languages and genres while remaining grounded in identity and authenticity.
With new releases scheduled for 2026, Negro $tack$ emerges as an artist carrying Puerto Rican culture from Bayamón to New York and beyond, transforming personal struggle into music that speaks to community, heritage, and perseverance.
